Essential Qualifications:
  • Master's (M.Sc.) /M.Tech degree in Geology/Physics/Geoinformatics/Remote sensing and GIS/Earth and Environmental Sciences/Electronics/Computer/civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% in aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 and above on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject). The condidate must have physics or Mathematics as a minor in BSc.
  • In addition to minimum qualification, for all candidates, a National level examination like National Eligibility Test (NET)/CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/INSPIRE-Ph.D./GATE/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship or any other Fellowship is mandatory however, candidate having M.Tech. degree is exempted.
Desirable
  • Working knowledge in microwave remote sensing/ water resources / hydrology/ GIS.
  • Experience in working with programming languages (e.g; C/C++, python etc.) and image analysis tools.
Emoluments: 25,000/- + 20% H.R.A. for first two years, and 28,000/- + 20% H.R.A in third year (in case of continuation).
